Current yoga classes

Classes restart on Zoom - text or Whatapp Julie on 0862037238 to sign-up.

Beginners Level classes will aim to introduce you to yoga: Suitable for complete beginners, or days where you will enjoy a slower practice, this class will allow plenty of time to explore poses, demonstrating options and ways in and out, so that you develop postural self-awareness and find what suits you most.
The focus will be on relaxation and loving kindness :)

Intermediate Level classes are mostly suited to people with an ongoing yoga practice, who are familiar with asanas and can get into their preferred option in a flowing Vinyasa motion, allowing the body to follow the breath.
The pace will be faster, generating heat (sweat), although each class will feature one or two poses (or anatomical part) to concentrate on and refine.
The focus will be on linking breath, body & mind, achieving a moving meditation as all 3 elements are synchronized.

Weekly timetable:
- Beginners vinyasa yoga - Tuesdays at 6:30pm
- Intermediate level vinyasa - Mondays & Thursdays 9:15am
-  Ashtanga mixed  levels - Wednesdays 9:15am

Classes last 1h15min and always end with lying down relaxation ("Savasana")

Dates: Monday 31st August - Thursday 24th September (4 weeks)
Single class: 11€      4 classes: 40€
8 classes: 67€       12 classes: 100€
=> Recordings will be made available to pass members so you can take the class again if you missed it (or if you loved it!)

Online Yoga practice guidelines - please read!

Hi everyone,

These days of pandemic, it is wise to avoid gathering indoors and spread the virus. However I do believe that yoga can help us relax and cheer up when we are all feeling anxious, for our loved ones and for ourselves. It is also a way of getting a full body exercise without leaving your home.

Follow the instructions to the extent of your abilities only. Within all postures of the sequence, you should be able to breathe freely. Pay attention to feelings in your body and avoid any discomfort in the joints - a stretching feeling in the muscles is good, pressure in any joints or the spine is not.

There is nothing wrong with sitting out some of the class, just take this time to relax and enjoy the kindness you are doing yourself. With a regular practice you will notice a sense of ease developing, have the patience to let it come. Going too far and hurting yourself is by all means counterproductive!

If you are pregnant, or have a particular health condition, do consult with your doctor before following any kind of exercise.

Feel free to follow a recorded class anytime you need one, from the video page.

Love, virtual hugs and positive vibes

Green Blue Yoga

Back in 2007, I attended my first yoga class, looking for a form of exercise that may alleviate shoulder cramps and lower back pain. Did yoga change my life? Maybe... As I kept on practicing, I gained flexibility, muscle tone and a new self-awareness. I learnt to observe my life in a kind, assertive and trusting way. I had started building a career in IT, working with people all over the world for multinational corporations but realised this didn't really suit me. So in 2017,  I traveled to India to train as yoga teacher and back in Ireland I also qualified as an equestrian trek leader, before moving from Cork to South Kerry and pursue the life I dreamt of as a child.

Today, I live in a most beautiful place, amongst wild natural landscapes and a wonderful community. I am ever so grateful to yoga for providing me with a deeper connection to myself, unlocking the self-confidence to find my own way, and I hope to share some of these many benefits through teaching.

Oh, and by the way, I am French, settled in Ireland since 2005. When I chose the name Green Blue Yoga, I was simply watching the deep colours of the sea and land surrounding me, but I guess it works for my native and adoptive countries' colours too !  πŸ™πŸ’šπŸ’™
